Pellet heating is a better alternative in many existing houses
Heating with pellets or a heat pump?
The choice between a pellet boiler and a heat pump depends on various factors, including individual needs, the specific conditions of the property, and economic considerations. The budget for a new heating system in an older building often doesn't allow for a heat pump, as the initial investment is linked to several subsequent costs. Whether radiators need replacing, the house needs insulation, or a photovoltaic system needs to be installed for the heat pump to operate efficiently, the costs increase significantly and may not be cost-effective in many existing homes in the long run. Pellet boilers can be integrated more easily and economically into an existing heating system, keeping the initial investment moderate. Our modern boilers are highly efficient and provide consistent heat output regardless of outside temperatures. It's advisable to speak with one of our sales consultants to determine the best option for your home.
A pellet boiler works similarly to a gas or oil boiler, but uses wood pellets as fuel.
The pellets are conveyed to the burner via an auger, where they are burned to generate heat. This heat is then passed through a heat exchanger, which heats the water in the heating system. The heated water is then piped to the radiators or underfloor heating systems in the house to heat the rooms. An electronic control system ensures that a sufficient quantity of fuel is transported to the burner and that the combustion air supply is automatically regulated to maximize efficiency.
Environmental friendliness: Wood pellets are a renewable fuel and have a low CO2 footprint compared to fossil fuels such as oil or gas.
Efficiency: a pellet boiler is very efficient and can convert up to 95% of the fuel into heat.
Cost savings: Wood pellets are generally cheaper than oil or gas; you can save money in the long term with our pellet boilers.
Convenience: Pellet boilers operate automatically, and some models are fully automatic and require very little intervention.
Pellet boilers and environmentally friendly heating!
From the perspective of "environmentally friendly heating," pellet and wood-burning heating systems remain an excellent choice. Burning wood releases as much carbon dioxide as it absorbs during its growth. It is therefore considered a climate-neutral fuel. Wood is a constantly renewable and thus sustainable resource. Our wood and pellet boilers have therefore been designed in accordance with current emission guidelines and comply with the strict regulations of the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchV).
