The Sinclair ASM-12BI monoblock air conditioner is a wall-mounted air conditioner for rooms where a classic split air conditioning system with a separate outdoor unit is not desired. The unit combines cooling, heating, ventilation, and dehumidification in a compact monoblock system.
Thanks to its wall-mounted installation with two wall penetrations, the ASM-12BI is particularly suitable for living spaces, offices, practice rooms, rental apartments, or buildings where an outdoor unit is not desired for technical or aesthetic reasons. The specific suitability always depends on room size, insulation, window areas, solar exposure, and usage.

The ASM-12BI operates as a monoblock wall unit with 3.5 kW cooling capacity and 2.9 kW heating capacity. The unit uses R32 as refrigerant and is designed as a hermetically sealed system. Air exchange to the outside occurs through two wall openings, each with a diameter of 180 mm.

In everyday use, the ASM-12BI supports both summer cooling and the transitional period through its heating function. Timer, remote control, and WLAN control make operation easier, while the dehumidification function can also be used additionally when room air is humid.
System Integration & Compatibility
The Sinclair ASM-12BI is a standalone monoblock system and does not require a separate outdoor unit, no refrigerant line between the indoor and outdoor unit, and no classic split commissioning. The entire unit technology is located in the wall-mounted device.
Installation requires a suitable exterior wall, two air ducts, a condensate drain, and an appropriate power supply. According to the instructions, the maximum permissible length of the air duct or wall thickness is 450 mm.

Installation
The unit must be installed on a stable exterior wall, as the air openings are located on the rear. Two core drillings with a diameter of 180 mm are required for the air ducting; additionally, a drain hole for the condensate is needed.
The mounting position must be checked in advance for load-bearing capacity, free air passages, and concealed cables or pipes. The electrical connection is made via an earthed 220-240 V / 50 Hz socket; if in doubt, the electrical installation must be checked by qualified specialist personnel.
Notes
The device is intended exclusively for indoor operation and must be transported and stored vertically. After improper transport, sufficient waiting time should be observed before starting so that the compressor is not damaged.
The air passages must not be covered. Filters must be cleaned regularly to maintain air performance and device operation. Repairs to the refrigeration circuit and work on the refrigerant R32 may only be carried out by appropriately qualified personnel.
